McKeesport, Pa. - Freshman goalkeeper Alexa Byers (Spring Creek, Pa./Corry Area High) stopped an astounding 17 shots on goal in the Penn State Greater Allegheny women's soccer stumble over Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) foe, Penn State Schuylkill, 4-1.
Schuylkill managed two goals in the first half before notching two more within eleven minutes.
Senior defender Jess Manfredi (Pittsburgh, Pa./Serra Catholic) posted the lone goal of the game, after freshman midfielder Erin Findlay (Greensburg, Pa./Central Catholic) sent in a nice cross from the outside, 4-1 Schuylkill.
The highlight of the game came from Byers, who posted a strong ninety minutes in the back-field with 17 stops in net.
Freshman midfielder Megan Dague (Pittsburgh, Pa./Woodland Hills) and Manfredi both had three shots through the game.
As a team, Greater Allegheny was outshot 27-11.
