Greater Allegheny Wrestling Opens 2014-15 Season at Penn State Mont Alto Duals

Mont Alto, Pa. - The Penn State Greater Allegheny men's wrestling  team opened up their 2014-15 season of competition at the Penn State Mont Alto duals, Saturday morning.

Three Greater Allegheny student-athletes achieved their first collegiate victory through the day. 

Against Pitt's Club team, Greater Allegheny tell by a total of 39-9. Victorious for the Lions was freshman Taqee Burns (New York, N.Y./Benjamin N. Cardozo) as he won by fall alongside freshman Rodjrecko Christian (Pittsburgh, Pa./Westinghouse) won by a 6-2 decision.

As Greater Allegheny dropped to WVU Tech 42-3, Christian earned marks for GA by a 5-1 triumph. 

Penn State Greater Allegheny went up against Penn State Fayette to wrap up the day, where they fell by a 36-9 tally. Christian earned another victory by a 5-1 finish as freshman Jaire Mondesir (Paulding County, Ga./East Paulding)by fall

Greater Allegheny will travel to Washington and Jefferson next Saturday for an Invitational. Start time has yet to be determined.
