McKeesport, Pa- 33 points by Junior Guard Mike McCarthy (Sto Rox) helped the GA men hold on to defeat a stingy Penn College team, 75-70, in 2OT. A close game throughout, GA appeared to have the game in control towards the end of the first overtime. But a game-tying 3-pointer as time expired, by Penn College's Ethan Kline, extended the game into a second extra frame. Despite losing three players to foul trouble, GA won the marathon, outscoring Penn 11-6 in the second OT, sealing the victory.
Freshman Guard Robert Taylor (Peabody) earned a double-double on the night, scoring 11 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. The conference victory raised GA's overall record to 5-9, and their PSUAC record to 2-5. Next up, a January 18th home game against PSUAC rival, Penn State Beaver. Game tips off at 8 PM.
