Scranton, Pa- Junior Center John Schmid's (Glenbard West) 16 points were not enough to halt the Men's Basketball team's slide, as they dropped their third-straight game, with a 72-56 loss to Penn State Worthington-Scranton.
Sophomore Forward Aaron Byrd (Dr. Henry A. Wise) chipped in with 13 points, as the GA men fell to 1-6 in their last 7 games. Potentially more problematic, Freshman Guard Robert Taylor (Peabody) left the game early, suffering what appeared to be a troubling knee injury.
The loss now sets Great Allegheny's overall record at 3-8, and 2-4 in the PSUAC. With Christmas break upcoming, the squad will have a month off before returning to the court January 11th, for an 8:00 PM game against Westmoreland CC.
