McKeesport, Pa. - The Penn State Greater Allegheny women's soccer team took time away from their studies to volunteer Saturday at Auberle.
The women were welcomed by the staff and boys of Auberle, Saturday morning, as they all played introductory games and got to know one another. The group played games to get to know one another and be able to open up and have a really good time.
After the games, head coach Ashley Davis took the group outside and assisted them in drills and activities. The student-athletes were excellent mentors and made friends with the kids while they displayed their abilities and sportsmanship to the eager youngsters.
Therapeutic Recreation Coordinator Ralph K. Wagley and his staff were extremely welcoming as the women completed the day with a pick-up game of soccer alongside sharing lunch with the Auberle boys.
The Penn State Greater Allegheny women's soccer team would like to say thank you to Auberle to allow us to come in and spend the morning with you all. We would like to see you again, and hopefully get everyone down for a GA game in the fall.
