Christian Awarded PSUAC Student-Athlete of the Week Accolade for the Fourth Time this Season

University Park, Pa. - Freshman 197-pound wrestler Rodjrecko Christian (Pittsburgh, Pa./Westinghouse) earned himself the Penn State University Athletic Conference Student-Athlete of the Week recognition for the fourth time this season for his stand-out efforts on the mat for Penn State Greater Allegheny men's wrestling team.

As the lone competitor for Greater Allegheny, Christian held his own at the University of Mount Union Invitational, this past Saturday. The freshman accomplished a 2-2 record through four bouts on the day. 

The 197-pounder earned a 7-2 victory in his first match over Mercyhurst's James Empfield, before falling in the quarter finals to Kent State's Stephan Suglio. Bouncing back in the consolations, Christian then advanced with a 5-2 victory over University of Pittsburgh's Matt Patrick through the first match, before falling 3-1 to Nigel Toussaint of Gannon University in his final match of the day.
