Christian Honored for the Third Time by the PSUAC

University Park, Pa. - The Penn State University Athletic Conference awarded freshman Rodjrecko Christian (Pittsburgh, Pa./Westinghouse) the Student-Athlete of the Week award for his efforts through the week of  January 6th, 2015, highlighting this wrestler for the third time this season.

Through the competition at the Waynesburg Invitational, Christian was the lone wrestler for Greater Allegheny. 

After a first-round bye, Christian defeated Muskingum University's Brandon Scott by fall in a time of 3:31.

In semi-final action, Rodjrecko lost by major decision 10-0 to Ohio Northern's Cody Lovejoy. The freshman rebounded in the consolation semi-finals with a pin over Waynesburg's Shane Lowman in a time of 3:07.

With a 8-2 decision over Aerison Parrish of Alderson-Broaddus, Rodjrecko Christian earned himself a third place finish at the Waynesburg Invitational in the 185-pound weight class.

Through the day, the lone competitor gained 18 points, sitting Greater Allegheny in seventh place out of eight teams.
