Monaca, Pa. - The Penn State Greater Allegheny men's wrestling team traveled to Penn State Beaver, Wednesday night, to compete in a Penn State University Athletic Conference Tri-Meet with Beaver and Penn State DuBois.
Freshman Jaire Mondesir (Paulding County, Ga./East Paulding) earned himself two victories today. He won by a 9-1 major decision to Penn State DuBois' Nate Rogers before he saw triumph by a Penn State Beaver 1:50 fall.
Freshman Rodjrecko Christian (Pittsburgh, Pa./Westinghouse) won by forfeit in the 285-pound weight class over Penn State Beaver as he took on the 235-pound weight class and won by a 18-2 technical fall 18-2 to Tige Woodson.
Freshman Marino Swanson (Swissvale, Pa./Propel Braddock Hills) competed in the 133 weight class over DuBois alongside the 141-pound weight class, seeing defeat in both by pin. Freshman Camden Anderson (Atlanta, Ga./Keystone Oaks) was victorious over Penn State Beaver's Ryan Radfield by pin in a time of 4:45 after he fell to DuBois.
Freshman Taqee Burns (New York, N.Y./Benjamin N. Cardozo) saw victory in the 157-pound weight class as he won by a 16-2 major decision Penn State Beaver's, Donnie Kerr. Burns also saw mat time over DuBois'Matt Himes, where he fell by technical default 15-1.
Freshman Tre Taylor (Pittsburgh, Pa./Urban Pathways Charter) won by fall in the 235-pound weight class on the mat over Beaver's Ian Spingler as he lost by pin in 1:25 to Penn State DuBois' Carl Rogers.
On the night, Greater Allegheny achieved their first PSUAC triumph with the 26-24 Beaver contest. GA saw defeat from DuBois by a tally of 47-9.
Greater Allegheny will travel to the University of Mount Union on Thursday for their final match of the season.
