Marina Goal Contributes to 1-1 Men's Soccer Tie over Mount Aloysius

McKeesport, Pa. - Behind freshman goaltender Prakash Wagley (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin), the Penn State Greater Allegheny men's soccer team tied Mount Aloysius at one after regulation.

Junior midfielder Marin Marina (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) netted the first goal of the game, after receiving a pass from junior midfielder Nick Andrews (Penn Hills, Pa./Serra Catholic). Marina managed to get a foot on the ball mid-air, serving the ball to the tips of the goalies gloves, rolling over the line, 1-0 GA.

Just four minutes before halftime, Mount Aloysius' Domity Dahn posted the tying goal off of a yellow card free-kick, 1-1.

The entire second half remained scoreless, as each team fought relentlessly to get the winning goal on the board.

After ninety minutes, Wagley stopped nine shots, allowing one in the 1-1 tie.

Marina managed three shots on goal.

As a team, Greater Allegheny was outshot 18-4.

The Penn State Greater Allegheny Lions (1-1-2, 0-1-1 PSUAC) will host Penn State York, Saturday afternoon, for a Penn State University Athletic Conference match-up. Kick-off is set after the women's contest against Penn State Schuylkill, approximately 3 p.m..
