Four GA Lions Earn Spots on PSUAC Men's Soccer All-Conference Team

State College, Pa. - As their season continues in the Penn State University Athletic Conference playoffs, four of the Penn State Greater Allegheny men's soccer players have been named to the PSUAC Men's Soccer All-Conference team.

Freshman midfielder Ricardo Dip (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico/Commonwealth) has earned the First-Team All-Conference recognition for his efforts for Greater Allegheny in his first season of collegiate action. The midfielder has played in 14 games for the blue and white thus far, posting 21 goals and 11 assists for a total of 53 points on 81 shots. The freshman leads the PSUAC in goals with 21 while he is tied for 2nd in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association. Dip is in 2nd in the PSUAC for assists while he is in 1st for PSUAC points and 2nd for USCAA points. Dip also is holding down 2nd for shots in the PSUAC and 3rd overall in the USCAA.

Sophomore goalkeeper Alex Wood (Rockville, Md./St. John's College High) has been awarded the First-Team All-Conference award for his efforts for Greater Allegheny in net. The sophomore has played in 14 games in his second season of action for the blue and white. He has logged 1252 minutes so far for GA, as he has 22 goals against with 85 saves. With an overall record of 8-4, Alex holds 2nd place in the PSUAC with a save percentage of 79.4%, 3rd place for goals against average with 1.58, 4th place in saves with 85 and 5th place for goals against with 22.

Sophomore midfielder Marin Marina (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) has earned the Second-Team All-Conference award for his efforts in the 2015-16 season. Marina has posted ten goals and four assists through 14 games for 24 points on 45 shots. The midfielder has marked two game-winning goals in PSUAC contests this season to boost his team through the playoffs.

For his work this season, junior midfielder Gerardo Diaz Perez (Mayaguez, Puerto Rico/Immaculate Conception Academy) has been awarded the Second-Team All-Conference title. Diaz Perez played in 14 games for the Lions in his third-year of competition. He marked four goals and four assists for a total of 12 points on 35 shots. Gerardo added one game-winning goal this season.
