A few minutes into the new half of action, freshman midfielder Belmo Nurkic (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) crossed the ball and found the feet of junior midfielder Gerardo Diaz Perez (Mayaguez, Puerto Rico/Immaculate Conception Academy), where he shot from the right of the box. With the goal, the men posted their final tally of the match, 3-1 in Greater Allegheny's favor.
Sophomore goalkeeper Alex Wood (Rockville, Md./St. John's College High) stopped nine shots through the triumph, letting up just one through 90 minutes. With the win, Wood solidifies his third win of the year as goaltender.
