Lion Men's Hoops Holds Down 5th in USCAA Coaches Poll

Newport News, Va. - In a 3-0 Penn State University Athletic Conference week, the Penn State Greater Allegheny men's basketball team holds down 5th place for the second week in a row in the United States Collegiate Athletic  Association (USCAA) Coaches Poll for week seven.

The men received 275 votes this week, solidifying the lone spot after they shared it with PSUAC foe, Penn State York last week. York moved up to fourth with just eight more votes than GA.

In the week, the Lions hosted a trio of PSUAC contests, beginning with Penn State Lehigh Valley. GA took Lehigh Valley 100-84 before hosting Penn State Brandywine the next day. The men followed up the win with another over the BW, 87-76.

The third and final PSUAC contest of the week came by the way of major conference rival, Penn State Fayette, where the men swiped the easy win 84-78.

Greater Allegheny (15-4, 9-1 PSUAC) went on to split a PSUAC weekend over Penn State Mont Alto and Penn State York.
