University Park, Pa. - After the 2016-17 spring break trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., Penn State Greater Allegheny men's baseball junior first baseman Joshua Arroyo (Toa Alta, Puerto Rico/Levittown Baptist Academy) has been awarded the Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) Hitter of the Week accolade through the first week of action.
After returning to Penn State Greater Allegheny, Josh comes back to the team with big bats. In a 1-4 week in Myrtle, the first baseman slugged a batting average of .556 with ten hits on 18 at bats. With four doubles and seven runs batted in, Arroyo accounted for a total of 14 total bases.
In the 8-4 win over Penn State Schuylkill, the first baseman hit 3-of-4 with three RBI and two runs himself.
The junior currently sits third in the PSUAC with batting average with .556 and tied for third with runs batted in (seven).
